Do not disable this feature if you have no other backup plan. Just because your computer is fine (or you just bought) today doesn’t mean it’s invincible.
Simply choosing ‘manual’ on the scheduler screen does not work, Norton will continue marking your status as ‘at risk’. Instead, follow the steps below.
1. Open the Norton 360 Main Window.
2. Click on the graphical ‘Backup’ button (text in a circle in a box)
3. At the bottom of this window is “Turn Off Backup”
4. Rejoice at it no longer giving you the red x
